Makes enough for 10 servings

For the Citrus Syrup (makes 750ml)

300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar

For the Drink (makes 850ml, to serve 10)

400ml decent vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml clementine syrup (as made above)
Fresh cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch

Instructions

For the Cordial: Combine all the ingredients inside a pan, heat until it reaches a light boil, mixing so the sugar melts. Then, take off the stove and let it to reach room temperature entirely. Decant into a sterilised bottle, seal and refrigerate it chilled, it will last for around one month.

For the Premix: Combine the specified spirits and syrup into one sizeable container, allow it to infuse for one hour, then filter it best through a fine cloth, so it's fully clarified.

For serving: Measure 85ml of the batch mix into your stirring glass packed with ice, and stir lightly for one minute until cold. Filter into a chilled martini glass or a similar vessel, top with a few cranberries and complete it using a quick spritz of the essential oil over the top.
